Oil Sampling and Oil Flush
The
Challenge
A refinery requested to have their system flushed due to lack of maintenance history. The system had been out of service for many years, so this was a proactive measure.
The
Solution
Due to the lack of maintenance, Breaux Energy Services gave two recommendations. The refinery moved forward with a high velocity oil flush for their entire lube oil system, as well as a plumbing and reservoir clean out. Once start-up occurred, BES also performed an oil sampling to capture varnish potential and water content.
The
Result
The result was a successful, on-time, and on-budget project that saved the refinery up to $250,000 in critical component replacement costs.
